Brinell Hardness Tester

Brinell hardness tester is mainly used to measure the hardness of cast iron, steel, non-ferrous metal and soft alloy. Brinell hardness test is the largest indentation test method in all hardness tests. It can reflect the comprehensive properties of materials, and is not affected by microsegregation and uneven composition of sample structure. Therefore, it is a high precision hardness test method. Brinell hardness tester is mainly used to test the hardness of forged steel and cast iron with uneven microstructure. The Brinell hardness of forged steel and gray cast iron has a good corresponding relationship with tensile test. Brinell hardness test can also be used for nonferrous metals and mild steel. Small diameter ball indenter can be used to measure small size and thin materials. Brinell hardness tester is usually used for the detection of raw materials and semi-finished products. Due to the large indentation, it is not used for the detection of finished products.
